So Far Sounds, "Songs From A Loom" Cleveland Event Photographer

This addition of my blog for So Far Cleveland, is called "Songs form a Loom" That's just me trying to be clever. Once again, I was honored to shoot for So Far Sounds- Songs from a Room in the Waterloo Arts District in Cleveland. So Far Cleveland never disappoints  with the amazing secret venues that host the shows.. This month's venue was Praxis Fiber Workshop. An ultra cool gallery, art space and weaving workshop. The gorgeous gallery show and colorful backdrop was the perfect paring for the night's amazing music.

The first artist was Sean Marshall from Columbus.  His beautiful music included a steel pedal and stories form the road.

After Sean, Morgan Mecaskey took the stage. She's a local Cleveland gal.  Morgan was very quiet pre show... and then she took the stage. Morgan has a voice like no other. She wailed and sung from her heart. She was giving 100% to this lucky audience. Morgan was also backed up by some beautiful vocals, harmony and talented local friends.

Make way for Colossal Brother... A duo from Columbus. The play surf rock, and they play it well. I enjoyed the tales of the early beginnings of Colossal Brother in college. They were such fun entertainers..  My favorite introduction- " This is a song about a girl"...cue fun surf rock riffs..... Loved this guys.

The night ended with The Bergamot, A gorgeous husband and wife team from New York. After the show, I had an amazing talk with them about working in the arts in the modern age, and following your dreams.  This extremely talented duo was so inspiring.

Thank you once again to So Far Sounds for asking me to document this amazing night.

xoxo- Karen
